City Permits

I have just recieved a 'Penalty Charge Notice' I did park and ignore the signage. I should probably pay, but the amount they are asking for is exorbitant. Do I ignore? The only thing is knowing me I will end up being the one taken to court.

This company do not appear to be a member of the British Parking Association - there is no reference to it on their website. There is no telepohone contact details, and only a PO Box address to send money to.

Everyone says it will never get that far, but has anyone on here experienced otherwise? Part of me thinks I should nt pay if i don't have to, but then the other part thinks well i did park somewhere and enter the 'contractual agreement' hadahadaha etc....

Does it actually say "penalty charge notice"? if so that's very naughty of the PPC as they are not allowed to use those words for private car-parks.

    Just ignore them.

    rossbarns....

Listen carefully...make your ****ing mind up.

Pay up and move on, or don't pay up and deal witht eh 3/6 letters you receive.

It won't go to court, and even if it did you would win, and even if you didn't you'd be not much worse off.

BTW have you actually read the stickies at the top of this board????

I see they call themselves a "parking enforcement agency" and have a "Appeal Administration Dept". All very grand-sounding names a small-time PPC.

I have just taken a look at Companies House and there is no company registered under that name.

  • Anyone feel like complaining to OFT or whoever as they do not have a proper address on the website. PO boxes don't count I understand.
