£2000 off double glazing through airport

Hi there,
I live under the flight path near Manchester airport. My house needs to be double glazed as the window frames are all rotten and its just single glass. The airport will give a grant ( according to their site) of up to 80%( no more than £2000 )because of the noise. We have to use their supplier and fitter. Just wondering if anyone has any experience of this. My concern is that their suppliers an fitters will be more than a local company quote, even after the discount.
any advice would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

It may cut both ways. Because the airport will be putting so much work to the specified company, they will be getting a heavy discount so it is worth looking into.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

The offer may be genuine, but there is one sure fire way of finding out. Obtain a quote from this firm and a local reputable installer with a good reputation. Always good to look out for whether they are members of the trade bodies the Glass & Glazing Federation (GGF) and Fensa. Then compare the two prices and the detailed specification of the quote and the prices after all discounts are taken into consideration. When comparing the quotes look out for the energy rating to make sure you are comparing apples with apples.0

get a quote off their installers and then compare it with eg,
class plas windows of cheadle stockport.

Thank you very much for taking the time to reply. I'll have a look into it and I'll get a couple of local firms out too to see what the comparison is like.
thanks again
