It's hard when they seem so 'well in themselves' isn't it? Just remember, he's none the wiser about his future, all he lives in, is the present.
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.

    Hi all,

    Update 2.

I rang the vets today for news about his histology on the lump on his side and it is a fatty lump thank goodness, we just need to keep an eye on it so it doesn't impede his movements.

About the liver biopsy I did say i was concerned if he couldn't go under for a small op but could for this and what kind of recovery would it be and is it really suitable for him because in every other way he is happy, eats, no loss of appetite or weight. She suggested milk thistle to detoxify and to redo the tests in a month.

So hopefully he will be ok. Just a shame he decided he didn't like my parents puppy and can't stay wioth them over christmas!

    Thanks all xx
  • sorry to hear about ur little man

Just wanted to inform you, that if you can get a referal for an ultrasound scan, then they can also do ultrasound guided fine needle aspirate of his liver too (placing a needle into the liver and drawing out some cells to be sent to the lab) this would be much less invasive and the anaesthetic would be a less risky option.
  • So pleased to hear the lump is "just a fatty one"....
