Racist? Why? It could just as easily have been any restaurant..
I have the same thing with our local takeaway - we always seem to get the wrong order when we get stuff delivered. Always seems to be right when we collect the stuff.
I don't really see what us to say though.. The only recommendation I can make is to either mention it to them or find another restaurant. Or just put up with it. Almost out of debt!! Must start saving!! :dance:0 -
The bit I dont understand is "I'm not a caring person so I tell them to tell me exactly what is on the menu coz I dont understand it"

I always add things up in pubs, shops, etc and its amazing how often Im overcharged. I would say about 33% of the time in shops. The shopkeeper is suprised when I can add up 3 simple items like a can of cola, a mars bar and a newspaper as most people simply pay without thinking . Usually a shop will ad on an extra 20p - 50p in the above situation.
Pubs ( esp. the busy ones in town at weekends) also play this game. The number of people that I see putting change into their pockets without a glance never fails to amaze me . I count my change and half the time its a quid or so short .
These people are in a win or draw situation, there is no loose for them so they continue to do it .
My 11 year old son is very good at mental arithmatic and Ive told him to also add things up, quite often he comes out of the swet shop saying to me " Ha ha , I told him dad" . Why is it that some shops obscure the till display with a chewing gum display?
My point is it happens anywhere where they don`t issue a printed receipt. Over the years I must have saved thousands of pounds by adding everything up .
At first the GF and I were embarresed when after a meal in a restaurant I would ask for the menu again and pen/paper but nowadays its just normal behaviour . If I find they have overcharged me I point it out and they dont get a tip .On the internet you can be anything you want. It`s strange so many people choose to be rude and stupid.0 -

Couldn't agree more with all that.
Pubs particularly bother me, and the casual attitudes towards how much a round of drinks costs.
Whenever you buy a round it seems to be the accepted culture that the barman randomly stabs a few buttons on the till, mumbles a figure, the punter hands over a banknote or two, and receives a few coins back without having the faintest idea what each drink actually cost, or whether the change was correct. I actually think there's some kind of "macho man" connotation involved with shoving the change into your pocket without checking it.
It's considered socially unacceptable to stand there counting your change or ask the bar staff what each individual drink cost - you inevitably get strange looks from the staff and the other punters stood at the bar, particularly if the other punters are regulars and you're not.
But, yes, when you do actually check, it's alarming to note how often you get overcharged.0 -
This thread turned into Big Brother. God forbid I aint Jade.
I have had it at pubs too. Its downright wrong.Save saynoto0870.com in your favorites, and stop giving companies more £££ dialling 0870 numbers when you can dial freephones or cheaper alternatives
call your credit card company, tell them that you want to leave, 99% of the time theyll lower your APR%
Remember when that Bank Manager or Salesperson smiles at you, all he sees is £ notes. Dont forget the motto, "the wider their grin, the more debt your in"0 -
Hi Jinkssick, didnt realise you were the OP lol .
I turn the tables at my local Indian by using my high life card thet gets me BOGOF curry most nights I go there . I think they are getting a bit sick of me and its only a matter of time before they say no more.
