Bridesmaids rant

Apologies for the moan you are about to read.
I've got 4 adult bridesmaids, 3 of them I went to school with and 1 I went to sixthform with. The sixthform one is my best friend and is my chief bridesmaid. I've known them all for over 13 years.
My chief bm has fallen out with one of the other ones! It's over a bloke... I have tried to see both sides but all in all the chief bm is the one who's out of order, she has been dishonest and inconsiderate. The other bm has tried really hard to smooth it over for the sake of me and my wedding, but she now feels really fed up as it just gets chucked back in her face.
Never in my life have any of my friends fallen out with each other! We are just not like that! Grrr! I'm fed up because I want it all to be lovely for my wedding but also because I'm starting to wonder if my chief bm is really such a good friend, because I have seen some nasty behaviour from her... I'm sure a lot of people on here will say I should talk to her and tell her how I feel, which is probably good advice, but I just don't feel strong enough to do it and it could end up doing more harm than good! Also I know she has not been lucky with men and is under a lot of pressure from work, so I am sympathetic... End of rant!

I too am sending hugs and sometimes we need to rant....it makes us feel better!! :rotfl:
Personally I believe that the person(s) involved should just suck it up and behave appropriately. I can sympathise with the situation and pressures get to us all but really?....over a guy????
Sorry.....couldn't help myself lol :rotfl:SPC 9 # 5360 -
I know! So much for the sisterhood lol! I think she has a sort of wilful ignorance of what counts as appropriate behaviour sometimes... My new tip for brides-to-be is to say you're not having any bridesmaids and then at the last minute (ok, month/6months) announce who you are having. Thus leaving a minimal window of time for naughtiness!0

Ha ha I like that
You must have read my mind because I'm not having any bridesmaids! Although one of my SIL's thought that I should have one and it nearly started an argument.....luckily she was drunk, I ignored her and she went back to drinking her happy juice lol :rotfl: SPC 9 # 5360 -
I wish I didn't have any atm! Send me some of that happy juice please!0

i have four sisters as bridesmaids, one is OHs who i did want but you cant have one without the others so..
two of my sisters are half sisters and one of them doesnt get on with my full sister im trying really hard not to think of it but part of me is dreading my wedding day
I am not bossy I just have better ideas:p0 -
Gutted poor you! You have made me think actually I could just say I'm not having adult bridesmaids anymore as it is making me dread my wedding day... shady on people who haven't done anything wrong but it's my day after all... it would save a bomb on dresses, flowers, presents, and I could spend a load of that money saved on presents to say sorry to the well-behaved bms... I will give it some thought, you never know they might kiss and make up before then so don't want to be rash!0
