Is this Windows update stuck?

I have had a service pack 1 update loading now, stuck on 55% loaded, for over 50 mins. Says installing 2 of 3. Think it is stuck. Will it be harmful if I stop it?

Depends which update it is if its windows specific it could but if its say related to office or just one of the verification/minor updates then wont have much effect.0

if this is W7 (i assume it is if you're only just downloading it) then it's going to be big, and will take a while to download and install...it will probably corrupt your system if you kill it in mid-update, so stick with it

Thanks for the advice. Yes, I allowed it to continue but it did finally show up as failed.
