I am thinking of downloading a free shredder on my laptop instead of using the recycle bin ? Do you think this is a good idea ? I have been googling them and am unsure also which would you recommend for Windows Vista ?

I was told by someone at work that it was safer shredding your unwanted stuff then deleting from recycle bin. Not that i have anything to hide. Mainly pics i delete and his_err_pid icon that appears on my desktop when i have played an online game on my desktop with IE9.
