Wasnt sure where to put this and this looked like the most likely section .....
I recieved an email from TICKETMASTER with the subject heading:
THIS IS AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM TICKETMASTER **PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL**
The body of the email read:
Customer Reference Number: U551-52*** (I changed the last 3 digits, just in case it is genuine)
Ticketmaster has now despatched your order.
Your order is now in the care of DX Secure to be couriered to your delivery address within the next 5 days. If you have already received your tickets, please ignore this email.
You can track your item on https://www.thedx.co.uk/tracking using your Track and Trace Number which is: 2116380532
If you do not receive your tickets within the next 5 days, contact DX Secure on 0844 371 0000.
Please note that for most delivery areas this Secure Post method means that if you are not at home to sign for your order the courier may post your tickets without obtaining a signature if the property is secure.
This method aims to ensure that you receive your tickets securely and with the added convenience of you not having to re-arrange a delivery.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Replacement tickets cannot be issued under any circumstances. Tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged unless the event is cancelled or rescheduled and you cannot attend the rescheduled date. Your booking is subject to Ticketmaster's Terms and Conditions.
(visit https://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/legal).
You can book online for all future events at https://www.ticketmaster.co.uk.
The links were all genuine, but when I tracked the order it said they tried to deliver on the 18th (I was actually off work all day on the 18th and nobody called). The "customer number" they have used does not correspond to the email reciept for tickets I purchased last week. Something else that has raised my suspicions is the fact that tickets I purchased last week were with ticketline and not ticketmaster.
Anyone have any suggestions, has anyone else received an email like this ??? I suspect the con will be if I call the number and get screwed for a lot of money
all you help will be much appreciated

Logged onto Ticketmaster - nothing outstanding!
email back from Ticketline saying tickets have not been despatched and they no nothing of the email
email back from TheDX saying they have tickets for me from Ticketmaster
no email back from Ticketmaster yet
..... my suspicions are maybe not a scam email now, but maybe someone has got hold of my details and has ordered tickets ..... but they are coming to my address. It all seems a bit strange !0 -
I have purchased quite a few tickets from Ticketmaster over the past few weeks and they have all come via TheDX. They don't require a signature and are hand delivered.
Ticketmaster does issue Ticketline tickets.
I have called the helpline once and it didn't cost the earth. I called them because it had a delivery date but I hadn't received them, it was a data entry error and soon put right.
If it says delivered then I guess it could be a mistake.0 -
this is a copy of the reply from ticketline:
Hi,
Thank you for email, I have had a look at the email you have forwarded below and can confirm that this has not been sent by Ticketline. I have checked your booking for Marillion and confirm everything is ok with this booking. I would advise checking your bank statements in case Ticketmaster has debited any funds.
Kind Regards,
Catherine
