JSA and uemployed partner moving in?

I was thinking about moving in with my boyfriend and he is currently unemployed and on JSA.
I have recently become unemployed myself and am moving in with him while I look for another job and have just put in a claim for JSA myself but while at my previous address.

I'm not sure whether to cancel my JSA claim altogether and live on the little money I have left or to let them know I'm moving in with him and to change my claim [which is currently being processed].

I just don't want it to affect his JSA but also don't want either of us to be seen as committing benefit fraud.

Many thanks.

  • If you move in with him, It will affect his JSA and any CT/HB he recieves. However seeing as your unemployed too, It should just go into a joint claim.
