Any one have much experience with portable DVD players? We`re traveling with the little one over Christmas and thought it would be good to have. It`s a long flight so does anyone know how much I need to pay to get one with decent battery life?
Any help much appreciated.

This has up to 5 hours playback

Cheaper here, though the details do not mention playback, so maybe worth checking the box or with Comet before buying

I got that exact dvd player from comet last week for... £10! Thanks to a deal on HUKD.
There was an £80 off code when the dvd player was full price, but they must have made it half price a day early and the £80 off code was still valid. I ordered one to collect in store and managed to get it for £10.

Hi
I had a brilliant one from Aldi. However, it broke 3 times during the 3 year warranty ... the last time being within the final month of the warranty. The company who made the portable DVD player that supplies them to Aldi (Tevion), appear to get their products from various individual companies and the one who made mine had gone intoliquidation. I had a 2 week running argument with Aldi to get my full refund and it cause me nothing but stress. So dont let their 3 year warranty attract you. It was a real shame as yes the plater did break 3 times but apart from that I absolutely loved it.
I got my new one from Tesco and they have a super range in. Just looked again tonight and they have a 9" one for a mere £29.99!!! Bargain.
Hope this helps0 -
I bought a real good Philips one about 4 years ago (10" screen + 4 hour battery life) but soon replaced it with a netbook which is a much better all round performer (internet , games, music). But you would have to pay around £200 for a netbook and then go thru the process of ripping / transferring films. All I would say about the cheaper DVD players is to check out battery life before you buy.0
