Always save in Open Office (Libre Office) format unless you want to share with someone who only has MIcrosoft Office. The Microsoft format is not perfect and there may be formatting problems. Even if you do save in Microsoft format for sharing it is best to save another copy in Open Office format to keep safely.0

OOo is still alive, but only has 2 developers working on it. LibreOffice started with the 30-strong, ex-OOo team, but has had loads of extra help on the development front.Never Knowingly Understood.
