  • I havent gone into employment but changed from a joint claim to a single, And yes it stoped for 4/5 weeks. It is back paid though.

I wouldnt not tell them because you cant manage so near to xmas, The last thing you want is to owe them a fortune after xmas you must tell them as soon as you oh starts work.

Tell them straigth away, it wont stop depending on what your income is now, you could also claim working tax credits too :0)

When my partner was signed off JSA and they up dated the system to sign him off, the lady doing it told us that the child/working tax credits where automatically informed, I rung them the next day just to confirm they had the changes and they told me it had all ready been done.

When I changed the money didn't stop at all, they just changed the amount going into the bank the next week.

I wouldnt rely on a letter as they will more than likely not reply! Can you not use a neighbours phone?
  • I did this when i signed off jsa. My payments carried on as normal, then were increased (WTC). Think they will regard it as a change of circumstances, rather than the palava of a new claim (been there, took them 14 weeks grrr). Ring them, you may be pleasently surprised x
The feeling i got when i confirmed my place studying criminology at Exeter Uni was brilliant!!!!!

The pride my children told me they had in me was even better!!!!! # setting positive example to children is OUTSTANDING!!!! !:grouphug::grouphug::smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea
