I am getting up at 3:30am to go to work to have 40% of my net income taken from me to go to the mother of my children who claims benefit, lives rent & council tax free and subsequently has more disposal income than i do, by a large margin and lies about the money she has received from me in the past, to have some idiot that clearly hasn't read the post they have quoted from tell me it's for "your" children!!!!!
I read the post perfectly well thank you. Am I incorrect in saying that this is for your children? Thought not.0 -
You clearly have not read the posts, either of them because you have just got it wrong again!! I have put "my children" I have no problem whatsoever paying for them and always have paid for them. She on the other hand, constantly lies
You would do well to get some glasses or take more time reading what you wish to respond to.0 -
You would do well to spend your time sorting out your horrendous financial situation, not whinging on about the fact you have to pay for lives you created. If you cannot afford children, then don't have them. If you have children, then pay for them.0

Another idiot! Dear god help me.0

I can read perfectly well thank you. But the problem here is - so you say. I am sure she has nothing but praise for you. Your legal squabble with your former partner isn't relevant to this thread and I see no reason for you to introduce the matter.0 -
You live in a little dream world don't you.
You started with a post that was wrong in nearly every way and end with one as well. I don't have a legal squabble and didn't introduce one to the thread! What ARE you on about? That's rhetorical and doesn't require an answer.0 -

Oh well. At least there has been some entertainment in my day.
Sorry, Sundays. This used to be true. It no longer is and hasn't been for a couple of years due to retsructures and pay cuts which have turned the telephone line into a call centre (with staff of an equivalent capability). If ACAS tell you what you want to hear there is as much chance that they have got it wrong as right!
In relation to their team negotiators etc I would agree on the expertise of ACAS. There is no way this applies to the telephone advice line. You may as well phone British Gas for advice. The system works the same and you stand as much chance of them getting it right as ACAS.
I feel rather insulted,
1. i would never take advice of any one as expert on a social media site.
2. if ACAS are a load of rubbish as all say, maybe the poster should perhaps seeing if there is a solicitor that could help with the employment issues in a quick free consultation, many do offer that now, and they may also be able to help with the CSA issue.
3, the op made it clear the wife has only worked for a few months, my understanding is to go for a employment tribunal its 12 months cont employment.
4. Having come from the dark side on these forums, ive had my job lot of employment tribunals, and county courts and prob can actually give a lot more credible information than those with the ideals of im a barrister , hR OFFICER ETC.
Lastly these sites are here for support not to be highly critical, the OP is clearly worried( FINANCES DO THAT) and having a hard day and has off loaded prob out of disrepair, id suggest a bit of empathy.if only life was a box of chocs0 -

Yes, you should always corroborate any advice on here with expert advice elsewhere.
However, SarEl is right. ACAS are staffed at the call centre by individuals who are *not* legally qualified (and in some cases even their training is questionable) and who often hand out incorrect advice. The negotiation and mediation teams are very good, though.
She wasn't insulting you, just pointing out that, actually, you will get more reliable advice on here than at ACAS. Both of which you should always follow up with your own expert advice from an employment solicitor or the like.3, the op made it clear the wife has only worked for a few months, my understanding is to go for a employment tribunal its 12 months cont employment.
12 months is for unfair dismissal. For lack of payments of salary and unpaid leave, she could indeed go to ET with any length of service.4. Having come from the dark side on these forums, ive had my job lot of employment tribunals, and county courts and prob can actually give a lot more credible information than those with the ideals of im a barrister , hR OFFICER ETC.
Now *you're* being insulting to those who *are* qualified and give their advice - and their time - for free on here.
SarEl is an employment barrister with *mumbles* years of experience. She has seen hundreds, if not thousands of cases at ET. I don't know what Jarndyce's job is, but he is also very experienced in employment law and ETs. LazyDaisy is a retired employment solicitor. And there are also lots of very experienced employment law / HR people on here. All of who take time from their day to help others as best they can.
Whilst I don't doubt your experience and its value to others, it's limited to your experience only, and your case(s) as opposed to someone legally qualified who has seen thousands of experiences and is fully up to date with *all* employment law issues.Lastly these sites are here for support not to be highly critical, the OP is clearly worried( FINANCES DO THAT) and having a hard day and has off loaded prob out of disrepair, id suggest a bit of empathy.
No-one was hard on the poster for the predicament his wife is in with regards to her job.
It was when he complained that he has to watch his salary go to pay for his kids that the empathy was lost.
KiKi' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".0 -
If you look and clearly you and others do not bother to do that, you will see that i am not complaining that any of my money goes to my kids, it is the £200 plus on top of what they assessed that i owetyhat is going to pay "arrears" that are not there and are stopping me being able to survive Not live, survive!0
