I'm furious! I know this is a bit petty but im reeeeeeeeeeeally stretching my everdecreasing funds to breaking point... and i NEEEEED to see my mum who unconveniently lives in Guernsey. Went to bite the bullet this morning and book flight tickets with AURIGNY to see her at easter (their tickets are already extortionate IMO) to be faced with this:
NB: Charges per person per one way journey of £1.50/£0.50 are applied for using credit/debit cards. No charges apply when an Electron card is used, or for Infants not occupying a seat.
PER PERSON PER ONE WAY JOURNEY??!!
CHEEKY a**eholes!!
So not only do i have to pay for extortionate air tickets, i have to pay a completely unjustified extra "charge" on top (as well as the usual taxes and all that rubbish they add on!) How do they get away with this per person per journey leg charge??!! Its so cheeky!

Streamline (or other processor) charges the company, in this case the airline, to process their credit and debit card payments.
We are charged 35p per debit card transaction and 2% for credit card transactions.
All they are doing is passing the charge on instead of absorbing it into a higher airfare.0 -

Surely not for per person per leg of the journey though?! Surely its just a one off preocessing charge of X amount. Seems very harsh to me... especially for CC payments... £1.50 per person per way! 2 people = £6 for one transaction0 -
When I flew Manchester to Guernsey, Aurigny were incredibly expensive though I did used to get the Business Class seats if I could i.e. emergency exit row.
Probably cheaper to fly to Jersey with BA and take the boat over!0 -

The simple answer is.. I can't. All other airlines seem to charge way more. So Aurigny are "extortionate"?DFW Nerd 0350 -

Hmmm extortionate a bit harsh...lol... but compare how much it costs to get to Guernsey (short journey £100+) and my ticket to New York and then Las Vegas (£350) it is a bit out of order!
Flybe is dearer than aurigney from Manchester0
