Advantage Gold Insurance

I have had an Advantage Gold account with Natwest for two years in February and I have been paying a charge on the account as well as for the household insurance.
Our washing machine began to play up early this year and wouldn't work at all. I phoned to use my insurance (which is what I had been paying for) and it turns out that I couldn't claim because I hadn't registered my washing machine with 90 days of buying it. The thing is, I was told by the adviser when I got the insurance, that I could register my washing machine/other appliances (even though I had had them for around a year at that point) and I cancelled my previous insurance cover with the company we bought the washing machine from. My OH did fix the washing machine but still, I was soo angry with Natwest.
Would I be able to claim my insurance back as I believe that I was mis-sold it?

Hi there
In my opinion yes you can try to make a reclaim on the insurance, because you have been paying out for something that you assumed you would have been already covered for, so basically if you were not aware of the registration until now (that it was not discussed with you that you had to register for it) its been worthless to you up to now.
Good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"
