In certain circumstances Hamish. It could just as easily be that people don't want to sell while prices are poor thus not trying. If buyer's spending power is constrained by lending limits, wages etc then it doesn't matter what happens to supply the limit to their spend will remain.
I've been an owner for the best part of a year now so I don't stand to gain if house prices drop. I bought expecting the low interest rates to protect me from any drop in prices we may see.Having a signature removed for mentioning the removal of a previous signature.
