Ebay can (if you want to sell on ebay).....if you trigger a limit then you are not allowed to list anymore until you register as a business.0 -
Agree with that. Just tried to relist some items tonight that did not sell and can not because I have already listed 3 top brand items in 30 days. Even though 2 of them are these items! Grrrrrrr!
Are you new to eBay? Do you have good feedback?
If you contact eBay CS, they may lift or remove the limits on your account. I was limited to listing in a certain catergorie and contacted eBay CS who removed the limits instantly because of my feedback and the length of time I have been selling.
I also seem to remember a message which appeared when I was trying to relist. I think it stated limits will be lifted/removed when feedback is received for the items you sold but if you contact CS they may be happy to lift/remove the limits for you.A home without a dog is like a flower without petals.0 -
Have you tried asos marketplace?Agree with that. Just tried to relist some items tonight that did not sell and can not because I have already listed 3 top brand items in 30 days. Even though 2 of them are these items! Grrrrrrr!
If I did it that way it would take me 30 years to sell it all. I have until the new year!
It looks as though I ebay have my hands tied behind my back on this and I have no choice.
Gumtree maybe a good idea however I need maximum coverage on the internet. Sadly this is ebay.
They have decent footfall, it's free to list (for private sellers) and the fvf is only 10%. They also have a zero tolerance policy on counterfeits so your items won't be lost in a sea of fakes.0 -
Have you had a look at big wardrobe? http://www.bigwardrobe.com/SignUp.aspx?target=%2findex.aspx
I've not used them myself so can't say whether it's a good place to sell.0 -
I have been on there for years with always good feedback so I think I will have to give that a go.If you contact eBay CS, they may lift or remove the limits on your account.
I have to say a big thank you for that. Looking at the asos site I was amazed at how proffesional these sellers are with their presentation and young slim models! Not sure if I know anymore that young and attractive anymore ( except my ex) . And I am not sure if pictures of stocky or balding chaps in their late twentys to mid thirtys with beer guts is going to be a great image to sell with! But thanks once again, I may consider it.Have you tried marketplace?0 -
OP, l would urge you to do alot of research regarding selling on Gumtree, ok there is also loads of horror stories regarding ebay too, however l feel at least ebay/paypal gives you a little more protection than Gumtree.0

Sorry don't agree....
Gumtree is meant to be a face to face. Cash for goods transaction.
It doesn't get much safer than they turn up, give you cash and take your item....no chargebacks, no dodgy credit cards, no neg feedback, no DSR's, no INr, no SNAD's....
Gumtree everytime as long as you don't do anything stupid and send goods to nigeria or arrange to meet in a carpark to sell your laptop...etc...0 -
You can be liable to Capital Gains Tax on personal assets in some circumstances...Most personal possessions worth more than £6,000 are liable to Capital Gains Tax. This applies to individual possessions and collections or sets worth £6,000 as a whole. You must work out the gain if you sell or dispose of them.

I agree with this. Also, even if you do agree to post an item you are selling on Gumtree, as long as you take payment by Paypal you are still covered by their seller protection as long as you follow the requirements.Mrs_justjohn wrote: »Sorry don't agree....

This is correct but I think only relates to the profit you make, so I guess if the clothes were samples or presents it would all be profit. If you bought them is it likely they have appreciated in value? It may sometimes seem like I can't spell, I can, I just can't type0
