Help: ipod been in washing machine

Is there anything that will make it work. Daughter must have left it in pocket.
My life will be murder when she gets home from school.

You could try taking it apart as much as you can/dare to and leave it in the airing cupboard for at least a day. Could still be ruined after that though.

It's unlikely to work ever again.

Anyway, DON'T try to switch it on. That's certain to kill it completely. Best bet is to remove the stainless case (not easy!) and disconnect the battery. Leave it in a warm dry place for at least a week before reassembling. See

Otherwise it's professional repair (which may end up being uneconomical) or a new one/replacement.

Sorry to be pessamistic but I did the same with a mobile phone. It was switched on at the time and therefore 'live' It never worked again. The only saving grace for the ipod was that if it wasn't switched on at the time it may work by thoroughly drying it out in an airing cupboard.
