Hiya,
Well my computer is fixed now (something about memory and drivers) so big thanks to all who offered suggestions to possible causes of problem.
So, I am now after freeview for pc, I've had a look around and there are plenty to choose from, I was going for the Freecom one, but it is more expensive in comparison to the rest. Do any of you out there know if there is a brand that is better for this type of thing or are they pretty much all the same?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!;)

Freecom are great. I've seen them work and they work really well.
I've seen them for £45 on the net but they are £30 on ebay.0 -
I also bought a freecom usb freview adapter about 6 months ago. It was on offer somewhere for about £25 (Amazon or ebuyer)
Works very well with XP pro. Not the most elegant software, but does what it is supposed to do, and the timer record is reliable. Even managed to get it to work using an indoor aerial.0
