Hi everyone this is my first post.
Just tried to apply for a Virgin card online to do a SBT as I wanted to transfer money to my current account, but it only seems to give you the option of transferring balances from other cards.
Is this correct or am I being thick?!

once you have your virgin card , call them up and ask if you can make a balance transfer to your current account
They do allow this as I asked a couple of days ago just to make sure you could do it
cheers RRHelp enough people get what they want and you will automatically get what you want0 -

Hi, I was thinking of applying for a Virgin card. However I am a bit unsure about the fees. Can you confirm if you have to pay a fee for a SBT to current account ?
Thanks and regards

Hi Martin,
From your Balance transfer and super balance transfer articles.

"There is one small note of caution. None of the above cards charge for super balance transfers during promotional offers, including 0% introductory offers, (in the case of MBNA provided this is done on application). "

I read this but Mint seem to want "all we ask is a 2% handling fee for all balance transfers made during the first 3 months from account opening. (Minimum £5, maximum £40)"

I want to do a SBT to my current account. I already have an MBNA card at 0% but near end. I closed my Egg card 2 years ago but they will not let me have another card, saying that I am an existing customer, umm.
So I am now totally confused how to get my overdarft onto a credit card at 0%. I want a fee free way of doing a SBT, and cannot use Egg or MBNA.
Regards
Kells
