!!!!!! is this from AOL???!!!

Just got booted, got reconnected and I can hear

"I'm a mac, and I'm a PC" sort of advert thing......can't see anywhere to turn the damn thing off!!!

Switched screen name, it happened again, switched back to my normal screen name and it happened again!

The advert (or whatever it is) has just finished now, but has anyone else heard this???

OK I've just maximised the welcome screen, then closed it off......and it's happened again!!! :mad: :mad: :mad:

Don't tell me I'm gonna get this everytime I log onto AOL for Gods sake! :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

Sure. It's the advert that was on the Apple Mac site.

I've got AOL Platinum package and I haven't heard anything like this.

Try and run a spyware program see if that fixes it.

It was an advert on the home page, but didn't kick in for a few seconds - thank God I've found a mute click on the damn thing.

I'm on platinum too.....I've never had a 'noisy' advert on the AOL home page ever in 5 years of using it, ah well, first time for everything i suppose :rolleyes:

I've just logged onto Aol and had it, really worried me for a minute, couldn't work out where it was coming from!

Why dont you unistall Aol and go through your modem to get on line ? You have none of those flipping pop ups,and your computer will run so much quicker,without all the rubbish that is loaded up with Aol

Err how do you do that then? Do u mean you can still connect to AOL after uninstalling software

i was on this mobile phone review site and a nokia ad came up in a banner and said hello. it frightened the life out of me!
