Does anyone have any idea why our iphones would suddenly stop connecting to our wifi at home?
The computers are connecting fine but the iphones just say 'unable to join network'.
I've logged into the router site and there is nothing unusual on there. All the phones are listed in the trusted area, but we don't have it set to control access to unknown IP addresses anyway.
We've never had this issue before. All the phones were updated to OS5 a few weeks ago and have been working fine. None if us have done any updating in the last few days.
We've turned off the router for a good while and done the same with the phones, but it hasn't made any difference.
Lots of head scratching going on here, so any advice will be very welcome!

try this http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-19512_7-10115213-233.html you will need to connect to the network again when done.0

Problem sorted!
We reset the network settings on the phones, as suggested, but that did nothing.
Then we reset the router by pressing the reset button and that did nothing except stop the computers connecting as well.
Eventually, DH managed to log into the router and clicked 'reboot', which did the trick!0 -
I take all that back!!
Arrrggghh!!!
Now the phones and iPod are connected, but the computers have been disconnected and aren't allowed to join the network!!
Everything was working 5 minutes ago!
Can anyone help, please?0 -
Now one computer, 2 phones and iPod connected.
Laptop and other phone unable to join network!!
This has to be a router issue, doesn't it?0 -
sound's like it, you don't have any MAC filtering on the router?0

you very likely don't have it turned on if you don't know how to find it, (you definately don't have it on if, in the past have bought a new device and just connected it to the router without having to log into the router)
not really sure what the problem is, but as a last resort you can always hard reset the router (read the manual/google for how to) then set the router up as new and reconnect the devices.
also you can make the computers forget the network and then reconnect see here

There was no need to reset the router, simply switch it off, unplug wait 10 secs and then plug in switch it on again.A problem shared is a problem multiplied.0

On the iphones go to settings , select your router in wifi and press the blue triangle and the right hand side
You can then chose forget this network and reconnect0 -

We've done that several times today but it makes no difference.
We also did the 'forget the network' on the phones.
A second reboot of the router seems to be working for now.
We don't have MAC filtering then, jayme1, as we can connect anything as long as we have the password.
I have an old HP PDA that was always temperamental when it came to the internet and DH has been playing with it today. It kept flashing as though it was going to connect, but wouldn't and we couldn't turn it off, so took out the battery in the end. Since then, no issues...
But our internet connection has been dropping more over the last few days, so it may not be that.
Will have to wait and see what happens, I guess.0
