Forgotten passcode for Bush BFSAT01HD

We've had our Bush freesat box cabled into the kitchen after not using it for the last year or so.

We cant update as OH has forgotten what passcode numbers he put in so does anyone know if you can factory reset or override the passcode please.

HO87 Jnr had a similar model to yours and IIRC entering the passcode "0000" acted as a factory reset though whether you will be able to use it after that I've no idea.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

There's a helpline at the end of the instruction manual. An alternative number is available on saynoto0870

Bit of a long shot as I always imagine these helplines to be staffed by people with the same knowledge and manual

Most boxes of electronic parts that have passwords also have a facility to "Return to Factory Settings".
It will be an option in one of the menus, probably under "Set Up" or "Install".
It should also be indicated in the instruction manual.
If you go through this process, the box will return to the same condition as when you bought it and it will have the same opening password, too.
The manual should tell you what that password was but, if not, try obvious simple combinations like 0000, 9999, 1234 etc.

You will then, of course, have to set up the box all over again, but at least you'll know the password!

Went to menu part to return to factory settings and it says enter passcode

Rang Bush and they've suggested 4000 as I said 0000 didnt work then said if 4000 doesnt work to ring them back and they'll find another number to try.

Will have to ring them again tomorrow if 4000 doesnt work as they are shut when i get in from work today.

Fortunately code 4000 did work so if anyone else gets stuck they might need to try that instead of 0000.
