long story short. Gas cooker seems to go out, so doesnt cook properly.
Same thing happend this time last year. No idea why..
Anyway, had an ELECTRIC 1 delivered yeterday by Currys.
But installers left soon as they saw a Gas cooker! And LIED to me saying we'll be back on sunday to do it, which I thought most odd..
So my question would be does anyone have an idea how much someone will cost to have my gas cooker DE-installed? An do i contact a gas-safe guy ?
As currys said they WONT do it, but will install the electric after the gas has been taken out
Meanwhile no sunday lunch again

Is it just a standard bayonet connection?
But wouldn't it have been better to get someone out to fix the gas one rather than ordering a new electric one though? It could be a simple repair.
A GSR is required to work on gas appliances, did you tell them that you wanted a gas cooker removing? No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
also have you got a electrician lined up to install the electric cooker as will need hardwiringI am responsible me, myself and I alone I am not the keeper others thoughts and words.0

cheres guys. yes ive paid for the electric 1 to be installed along with the cost of the cooker through currys, which i ordered online. It states they will remove and take away old cooker an install new one.
now it never said anywhere or neither did the delivery/installer say this cant be done.. so im really angry at them for that.
now currys have said they will isntall electric cooker, once i have the gas taken out, but have to find someone and pay them for this simple 30 sec task no doubt.
currys will refund the £55 if i ask for it. but then have to find my own electrician and pay that on top of gas man, im thinking .0 -
Cancel the new cooker order, Get GSR cooker engineer to repair the existing oven. Simples!
PS: will also save you money in the long run, as an electric cooker is 3 times more expensive to run.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

If it's the FSD (not FSB) then the part should be warrantied for a year-refer it to the original repairer to fix it.No free lunch, and no free laptop0
