Hi,

Wondering if anyone can suggest anywhere for a decent price for replacement windscreen wiper blades for my Honda Civic. It's an 06 plate.

Been quoted a price of £22.99 from my local car parts shop which includes fitting. Just wondered if can get them cheaper anywhere else and fit them myself.

Thanks a lot for any help.

Do a search on ebay - prices from around £3 up.

Chreck your Honda dealer, they might be no dearer than the motor factor. There are a lot of fakes on ebay. The website in post 2 is worth a look - some people rave about their own brand ones but they just juddered about on my screen so can't recommend (delivery was quick though!)

I used to have a Civic as well (and 06 like yours). Check the local Honda dealer, they are usually the cheapest (about £19 for a set).

I have used the wiperblades website above, Bought their own brand flat aero wipers.

They sent one right and one wrong, They told me to keep the wrong one and not to return it and
    sent me the right one.

Surprisingly, Wilkinsons sell wiper blades for a couple of £s or so. Bought some a couple of years ago and they have been fine.

Wilko ones are about £1.90 each iirc. Pound stretcher does PAIRS for £1, although if your car doesn't take the same size left and right then you'd have to buy 2 sets.

Why do most people think they have to go to their dealer to get parts for their car??? You dont!

Dealers rip you off, when you can simply search for the ones you already have on ebay or your local motor shop.

I have an mx 5 and get all my parts from ebay and owners I know
Try Andrew at autolink Im sure he will be able to get his hands on some decent wiper blades for you.

You'll pay over the odds if you go to your dealer.

£25 fitted from a dealer (fixed honda price, they shouldn't ever charge more than this). I've never been able to find anybody listing a price anything less that was worth the bother - especially as when I last tried to change them myself I couldn't figure out the clip and broke a bit off, which I had to get from the dealer. On all my previous cars I've never had trouble fitting wipers!

Not always, Just bought some heated washer jets for £2.68 +p&p from a dealer that uses ebay.

One car breaker on ebay had them listed for £19.99 each.

I paid under £6 for the pair delivered.

    Always worth looking.
