Paypal and face to face credit cards

Hello, I am trying to set up a situation where I will be able to accept face to face credit card payments via paypal, can't find help on paypal and so am here in this forum.
I have a paypal merchant account and a virtual terminal but I dont want to require my customers to fill in all that info eg billing address, card expiry date, etc,
So, am wondering will a simple card swiper work for this, I don't have time to set up a merchant account with a bank and so am trying work around this. Do I need a chip and pin machine, or can I do without??

for face to face its either having the virtual terminal available to buyers or get a chip and pin machine, but to work with Paypal you will need to give paypal a ring and they will tell you the options available
