Glowworm Micron 60ff boiler whining!!?

I have the above boiler which has started to whine at various times, whether the ch and/or dhw is on, and it is enough to wake us in the morning. The noise is definately coming from the boiler not the pump. I first thought it might be fan bearings but then realised that the noise alters in tone dependant on the setting of the pump. Highest setting highest noise. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

turn off all rads bar 1, put some f3 fernox in,run it for a few hours,
drain down and fill to clean out any existing f3,add fernox f1,which stays in the system,
bleed pump/rads ect of air.......bye
ps. if its on a (sealed/pressurised system)
replace the autoairvent,0 -
Thanks for the reply. Having googled fernox I can see that it is a cleaner but I am unsure why it would cure the problem. Can you tell me what would be making the noise.
Also I forgot to mention, as I didn't think it relevent, that 7 days ago there was a lot of gurgling water noise coming from the loft. Upon investigation I found the header tank ball !!!! was stuck in the closed position and the tank empty. I freed it up and the tank filled as it should.
Would this help explain the problem?
