Just got back from NY and bought quite alot of clothes. Do your homework- we found some things such as electricals, make up and perfum were cheaper in the UK (for instance Gap is the same price in NY as in the UK).
Try Aeropostle & Old Navy for good prices on hoodies, jeans and casual wear.0 -
$70 for an extra bag? WOW it's gone up! when I went to New York 2 years ago with AA it was $50.
Second vote for Forever 21. My favorite shop ever!0 -
have the items been subject to eu/uk duty? probably not therefore its part of the allowance.
.
To be really picky - no it will not come off your allowance (because the item isn't yours) but it will be dutiable anyway as there's no allowance for it to come off.
Comes to the same thing really.0 -

Well strictly speaking seeing as the end user is'nt transporting the goods then the duty free allowance doesnt apply to any of the gifts therefore any items, reagardless of value, would be dutyable/vat-able.
However i wouldnt deal with it like that i would deal with the importation as a wholeLive each day like its your last because one day you'll be right0
