Water logged bottom of garden, help please.

Hi all, hope you can help me. I am very new to gardening as I have moved from a Midlands council estate with a slate and concrete garden to Wales where I have a huge, very green, if some what muddy garden. Although the garden is large the bottom couple of meters is very water logged. I was wondering if planting some…

I am risk averse, it's true. Having had to replace some of my septic tank pipes due to willow root damage tends to make me that way
