Hi,
Could anyone please advise the cheapest way to ring the Uk from New York.
Unfortunately travelling tomorrow so no time to get a sim off ebay etc.

Will be ringing landline only, or would it be cheaper to ring the US hotel and have them put me through to the room from our UK landline, with TalkTalk at home

Cheers

No, just a normal old fashioned phone call. Have just checked and we're actually with Plusnet so IF the hotel will let me ring them and then route the call to the room it works out at about 11 point something pence a min. Unless anyone knows a cheaper way?
    Cheers

Plusnet charge slightly over 11p a minute plus connection to call the USA from the UK not the other way around.

If you can arrange for UK to call you back at the Hotel calls could cost as little as 0.5p a minute plus connection charge via a 084 access number.

Hi JHP, thanks for your help
Sorry, I made that confusing. I'm staying in the UK and my wife is in NY. That is why I was saying it will be better to ring her at the hotel from our landline. I'll just stick with the 11p a min plusnet as I know where I stand with that.
    Thanks again
