  • Hi

I'm new to mse and thought I would let you know about the dtd I got the other day. Anchor lighter butter 500g tub £2.90 or 2 for £4.50. The offer was over a week out of date but the yellow sel was still there. Charged the full price given dtd by cs who removed the yellow sticker but refunded no problem.

form looking at Ts site, looks like you bought the crinkle cut 1.5kg...if so the price is the same in As so not JTD :(
Hi guys, im a newbie, so please be gentle . found a few bargains id like to share with you so you can potentially make a saving.

1 - babyliss Elegance for men powerlight pro 15 piece Clippers B/C (3030053074984) sel sates £14.97 i think you may have to peel off a replacment barcode to find this,(if there is one on there) scans at a nice £2.04

2 - pog airfreshers, ( one with the jelly smiley face, found on clip strips. differnt flavours, like romance and chill,) sorry havent got barcode, but again these have replacement barcode stickers on, peel off discreetly, and scans through at 9p

3 - ion express quickplay ( this wil be around in the electrical somewhere, its a white box red writing, its basically a device that records your old vinyls onto mp3 so you can have them stored on you comp.) b/c (0812715012496) great little product!! with RRP £39.99 scans at a lovely 50p -

tried to buy this yesterday evening. absolute fool SA denied me the sale saying it needs to be sent back to HO as its a pricing error, i told the chap to ring HO so we can get the matter sorted right now as its discontinued stock. DENIED! SA then tried to persuade me that it wasnt discontinued and that there was 5 more in stock. i told the SA he was a liar (bit harsh but went with my gut instinct) and that i wanted him to show me stock levels, tried to convince me he doesnt have to!!
so basically i said you must be lying if you dont want to prove to me that your not! and low and behold finally he let me check the stock level with barcode, shaking like a leaf/ (1 in stock)!!! still denied sale left a very angry man!:mad::mad: but nvm plenty more glitches/ discontinued lines to be had

i dont know where i stand in terms of buying this item? being lied to? i dont know whether i should complain to head office? any advice would be much appreciated and will be gretly received, HTH

...advice wanted....ok here goes....DONT peel stickers off...whether its a barcode sticker, a price reduction sticker or anything else....this is classed as tampering with stock...can be deemed as fraudulent and effectively is tantamount to theft. Up to you, but I wouldnt want anyone to do this.....and if you choose to do it and are caught...then subsequently banned and or prosecuted, please dont come on here pleading for pity :(

sorry its a bit harsh...all in all good bargain spotting...but we're here to make savings legitimately...using the odd loophole now and again, but all legal and above board! :)
hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!

Not sure if this is the right place for Tesco chit-chat, given its in the "gone" section of the board. Anyway....

In B*rehamw**d Tesco this morning and someone had a trolley full of gifts and was having a big argument with the managers. Ended up with 3 managers (at least they had red scarves round their necks, so I assume managers).
A gift that looked like a toy/ game in a blue and white starred box. The shopper had by the sound of it found it at a very discounted price andit must have gone through the till much higher. Tesco staff were having none of it and were refusing to sell at the lower price. Shopper was adamant that the displayed price should be honoured. They argued back and for for at least 10 minutes with raised voices from the shopper. Then shoppers friend announced she had taken a photo of the display showing the cheap price and was phoning head office there and then. Managers backed off, leaving one to deal with very irate shopper, who kept saying that Tesco have to sell at the shown price and manager saying that she had 2 pallets full in the back and wasn't bringing them out! Sadly, I don't know how it ended.

silvercar, how could have you walked away? i would be standing there, peering in to see what the toy/game was,the price, and waiting for a result. then i would fill my trolley with the toy/game and kicked off as well :rotfl::rotfl:
