Well done, it's lovely getting a bit of a sleep pattern back after an op, bet that's made you feel a bit better :T Stay indoors at least till lunchtime if it's anything like it is here. It's really icy and the last thing you want is to be slipping and sliding about. Should have melted by lunchtime;)

Meant to be working so nipped in quick.Just got 3 packets of sausages out of the freezer for tea, whoopsied at 20p a pack, carrot and swede mash 9p and a whoopsie apple pie 30p. Going whoopsie some veg later, so sausages and mash for tea, apple pie and 10p custard:T:T:TOnly got so many sausages out as DH likes them cold as well so very MSE to cook them all at the same time.
Day 30 on the no smoking journey:T:T
Off to T's tonight to see what little bargains I can find;)
    thats £210 saved :j:j

  • Morning all,

Thought I would update n the bargains this weeekend - I am new to this so still learning. Thank you to everyone who has shared their knowledge, and in particular to Lucylou who sent me spare copies of the price drop vouchers : )

I got 2 x Tesco finest corn fed chickens which were not labelled half price so got DTD so got them for free : )

I brought 20 bars of the CDM for 34p each - I went back later on and the whole shelf had been cleared. Great bargain.

And I got lots and lots of wine on the 3 for £12 with 25% off original price - I must say the Lindemans red is liovely. I also found a couple of bottles of Cono Sur Riesling, although wasn't £2.19 but £3.34 but with 25% off still worked out well. Also got a very nice wine called Storks tower that was on offer at £3 ish with 25% off.

I then used some vouchers and got the tesco finest meal deal with smoked haddock risotto but it didnt come up so took it back but they said the side i had got was wrong but they were willing to honour it but not DTD - i told them i didnt want it anymore so they refunded me the whole amount. However, the wine discount had already come off and the £1 off chilled ready meals so i essentially still made about £4 out of it.

Thanks again - i'd love to know how people find these glitches so i could start helping by finding some! Have a good day everyone xx

    Thanks.
Seems pointless comparing supermarket prices if the dam prices aren't even correct.
I made a mistake once, believeing people on the internet were my virtual friends. It won't be a mistake that I make again!

  • The receipt was marked and i took the red sticker off already with price as its wrapped in loft. damn being organised is not always good eh, last time I wrap so early

If your not so sure about taking it back with the receipt, why not try taking it back without & telling them your son received it as a gift, so no receipt, but he already has them, hence could you exchange it.
