That tele combo scans at 499 in my local. Got lots of others checked, quizzed the electricals manager, even checked at CS to see if the 499 had scanned cheaper earlier int he day but nothing. Looks very store specific this one unless further details emerge!

Oh I also had the LG and Toshiba 3d with bluray player combos price checked too and no glitches there either.

    Evening all

Managed to get a quick trip in to T's (Ra*nh*m) this evening. Got some more DMs (loads left) and also found some Sharpie Highlighters (pack of four, b/c ends 7160 - yellow, green, orange & pink), hanging on clipstrips marked at £3.50. They scan at 35p! Apologies if this has already been posted :o

I went to a manned till as I had a bit of shopping as well and as the SA scanned the DM she said "What is the price on the label for this?" I replied "mmmm not sure, I buy it every week so don't really take any notice" ;)... to which she replied "well it's going through at 34p"!!

    HTH :)

    Evening all,
i was trouted today but held my ground and won in the end lol

while shopping today on the look out for DM (there was none left) I picked up a
Bright starts 2n1 Dream along cot mobile b/c 0 7445108352 3 it had Half price toy sale sticker on saying was£25 now £12.50 and a
Bright starts Blooming activity gym b/c 0 7445106808 7 it had Half price toy sale sticker was £40 now £20

after i had paid noticed that i had been charged £24.95 for the mobile and £42.95 for the activity gym/mat .

I went to c/s and the assistant tried to refund the transaction and re sell them to me at the stickered price, i over heard her on the phone to someone saying thats what she would do so when she came back to the till and started scanning the items I asked her what she was doing and she confirmed that was what she was doing so i politely said but dont i get double the difference because i've been over charged??
at this point you could just see the facial expression changing Ohh no she said, you dont get that because its the stickers on them that is wrong so it doesnt count!
Ummm Sorry i said but it says on the board behind you that its tesco policy that if you are over charged you get double the difference.
Oh she said i will have to speak to the manager, so with a face like thunder she went back to the phone, i again heard her say its me again, same overcharge she wont take that and is asking for dtd what shall i do?
so she came back and said manager was coming to speak to me, spent about half an hour waiting then showing where i had got them from and woman removing the stickers from other products on the shelf, then waiting for her to come back to cs desk after having someone else to authorise it i finally got refunded £70.85!! whoop whoop So i got paid £2.95 to take them away :)

i was so happy when i left as i got this plus 1p monkey on board thing, 11p party poppers and wine gummies 11 for £1 nad a post it note handbag thing £1.20 :)

Thank you all for all your fab info on deals, i think they are fab..... would love a glitch tv too lol ;)

Surely selling out of date goods is illegal?
Don't get me wrong, i'm not after anything, but is it right??

All depends what was on the label: Use by, best before or sell by.

If it is the later two then they can still sell them no problem.

If it is 'use by' then it shouldn't be sold.... If it is a jar of stuff or tin and just a month out of date the High Court will no throw the book at them..

It happens, slap on the wrist.... move on.
