I managed to find the DM choc today at W*stw**d Cr*ss:j - only took one bar as I wasn't too sure I'd got the right one as the SEL said £1 but it was 120g. Went through at 34p!! Didn't get anymore as I'm supposed to be losing weight - there was a boxful left on the shelf.
Then came across loads of packets of the Dormen satay mix nuts hanging on strips in lots of aisles so took one to test the price - went through at 25p!!! They are lovely but there are about 490 calories in one packet:eek: No wonder I could never lose any weight! So I won't be buying them again:(.
Looked for the lovely conical clear wine glasses but they only had black or purple on the shelves.
And a load more leaf trays have been put out - as I've got 4 already I didn't pick up anymore so go, go, go!
No Chuggingtons at all - I would love to get one of these for my grandson but I've never seen any at WWX or M*nst*n.0 -

Went to R0ne0 C0rner today and found 3 trays and also 2 of the Babyliss Power Glide Pro sets.
Went to self scan. Scanned first Babyliss set - £1.50, and screen said assistance required. Trout came over and said that price can't be right, I'll have to get it checked.
I quickly sent OH away with trays to pay at another till, as was sure that she wouldn't let those go through.
Trout goes to 5 items or less till and checks price of babyliss, and shakes her head and goes away. A few minutes later, she comes back and goes up to (what turns out to be a manager), and speaks to him. Things get heated and she slams Babyliss set down in front of him. He then picks it up and goes away.
Trout comes back with face like thunder, but doesn't say anything to me.
After another 5 mins:
Me: Is he checking this item for me?
Trout: Who knows? he is a man with an attitude! He won't sell it to you at that price anyway.
Me: Why not?
Trout: Price is obviously wrong, so he won't sell it to you.
Me: Could you not have told me that before? You have seen me standing here for 15 minutes?
Trout: I did tell you.
Me: No you didn't. You said, that you would have to check.
Trout: I'm not arguing with you!
So, I leave other Babyliss set at till and go to CS, to make a complaint about trout.
While I am in queue, the manager that trout spoke to, comes along with the 2 Babyliss sets in his hands, looking for me. He couldn't have been nicer. He said that it was fine to buy them at £1.50 each, apologised for keeping me waiting, said that trout had also been rude to him and apologised for her behaviour and said she would be spoken to this afternoon.
So, I went back to till and made sure trout saw me buying my 2 £1.50 Babyliss sets! :j
Well done! :j:j
I've been to that store today (one of my locals) to look for DMs but couldn't find any, not even a space for themI never seem to find anything in there, although they did have loads of the turkey.... scanning at £7.50 though!

Firstly, I apologise if this has been posted, I have just burned rubber to get back here and post this!
Overheard conversation between houseware/electrical manager and customer at 'normal' Tesco. Customer talking about something he was lucky enough to get cheaper, when manager tells him 'well, I've had to phone up this afternoon about a TV going through at the wrong price. There is a TV on offer at £500 and has an offer on for £150 off, however, it is going through at £150 ....
Sorry no more details, but for anyone near a Tesco, it has got to be worth a trip out, but be quick. If it is anything like the speed it took them to sort the chocolate orange glitch, someone should get lucky.
Good luck.0 -
Don't know if this is the right thread, but for those wanting to make their own mincepies, I was in my local Tesco express earlier and noticed Robertson's mincemeat was £1.31 (£1 online) but Tesco's same size jar was only 30p (£1.20 online), I haven't checked my other local express yet or the big Extra so I don't know if it was a single store error, would someone be able to look when they next go?
i was getting this in an express, maybe about 3 or 4 weeks ago; when they had baking stuff on for 3 for 2- making it 20p a jar :j
Nikkilala had another deal on the robertsons ones but i cant remember what it was. Have been looking for the turkey's and meatballs in both my T xtra's and can't find them:(:( Are the turkey joints fresh and are they usually near the Tesco own brand fresh chicken crowns etc (100's of them:() or are they usually somewhere else?
Have also looked and looked for the meatballs in the finest food area and the meatball area no sign either not even a SEL.....
Was wandering round town yesterday and popped into a new T Metro and found the meatballs so at least know what I am looking for! Stickered at £1.50 and scanned at that so will try them in a day or two but really wish I could find the darn turkeys just in case they glitch again!!
dont know if this has been answered but the Turkeys are normally at the end of the aisle .poultry . In all stores i have seen them its the end nearest the meat counters etc, not centre aisle end, hope that makes sense.:D
PS was there a friend of martins in napier road today looking at bits in green boxes near the toys? i saw 2 turkeys in the trolley ( they scanned at correct price didnt they?
