  • Evening all :)
Just back from my trip to Mr T's.
Found 3 pairs of 4p slippers but scanned not on file :( Also found a rugby scarf scanned at 4p:D. Found one of those medium pudding bowls finally from when all the kitchen stuff was madly reduced, scanned at 1p:D. found 4 turkeys with the stickers covered over:eek:. Got the wine gums and mega lollies thank you OP for those. Also got 2 value tents for kids for summer, plus not sure if these been mentioned before the little fold up stool things for camping b/c 1961 62p AND a 4 man dome tent for £6!!!:T The 2 man was £19 something and the 3 man was £24 something so bargain. B/C 9173
Also found tonight the hello kitty hoodys that were glitching few weeks ago. the ones with the free leggins. Got 2 with stickers on, found the leggins but of course the leggins didnt come off at checkout. Went to cs who sent me to clothing desk but girl on there was from electrical sso didnt really know her stuff, she phoned her team leader who said no dtd cos stickers had date of 4th oct on. I said well thats not my fault, i didnt even notice the date on there, so she tried the, they come from the suppliers like it to which i replied so you should have removed the stickers then before they went out im shelf, surely? Well....... she says, then i said its not the customers job to notice your offers are ood is it? well yes she replied:eek:. Couldnt be bothered arguing with her any more, made her write her name down and the team leaders name and will ring HO in morning. Does anyone have the number handy please xxxx

I have already told OH I am going to T's first thing boxing day he thinks it is crazy I just say to him more bargains = more beer :p

Have to confess my none MSE sins: I got 3 packs of lucky charms today...but they were on a sale and did have money off...£16.09 (includes delivery)....BUT that is a big saving and it's a rare treat for us all :o

How odd, i was looking at Lucky Charms today too - not that I've ever had them - wonder if honey shreddies and marshmallows would work :rotfl:

Boxing Day:rotfl: I'm whoopsying an hour before they close on Xmas Eve, my OH will go mad but it will be so worth it ;)

I am torn between sitting snug at home getting merrily sloshed on mulled wine, or running between my local Mr T and MnS to grab some bargains (assuming i'm not in a last min panic about forgetting something...like the turkey! :rotfl:)
My thoughts exactly, OH booked to do the next sale at 6am then when ges back im off to mr T to check out the 1/2 price toy sale stickers that ended 24/12 :j:j

I can just picture the looks if you buy toys on boxing day! excuse ready ds got cash and hes picking his own?? could you imagine taking your ds or dd and saying take your pick with a sticker of course lol.

Im getting carried away now im going bed up at 6.30am!

Argh, i stay away from the Next sale - I never find the clothes in there fit me well anyway so can't handle all the pushing, shovving and grabbing that goes on.

Now I could take my ds or dd to Mr T... unfortunatley that would involve santa dropping one off on his rounds for me, or me hiring the use of someone elses since I have none of my own :rotfl: (though i can think of a number of people who would prob gladly [STRIKE]lend[/STRIKE] give me their's by boxing day :rotfl:

Right, beauty sleep time before supermarket sweep tomorrow. nite all xx

As you got paid to take them away, can't you just donate them to a charity? It seems a little greedy to want more when you have already been reimbursed more than you

Ts take a lot of our money so the saying every little help :)

Reading back on the DTD nostalgia. Did anyone else get tons of Finish dishwasher tablets to find that they are not all that good? I haven't had shiny glasses and cutlery since February.
finish are the best, did not think so until i got loads on glitch, do you clean your dish washer every now and again, i did not bother but it helps big time

I kinda know what you mean. Real life took over this week but all this talk of DTD has me dreaming back to the good old days.

I only found DTD 6 days before it was scrapped. Thanks to Maggies, L'Oreal eye cream, Olay and Finish, my cupboards have never looked so good. I have actually resorted to using the spare room as a utility room come larder albeit the food is in sealed boxes because the flaming mouse is back again somewhere.

And thanks to the current DTD, I'm ready for my new life.

And thanks to MOCs and JTD, I have a fresh stockpile of goodies.

And thanks to this board (and that includes all its foibles) I have the strength to carry on and plan for the future.

And thanks to M&S for supplying the rather yummy Cosmo Fizz *hic*
Keep going, look straight ahead & keep breathing
