    Well, the turkey is FAB!

OH did it for me whilst I rested my back.

It only took an hour and a half. It was ready basted and came in its own tin :T (Cleaning up simply involves putting the tin in the recycle bin!)

We had it with fluffy roast potatoes (boiled and shaken to roughen up the edges then popped in hot fat from the turkey still in the tin to crisp off in the hot oven!).

OH even has the wyld wood cider chilling to have in a minute to wash it down!

    Aren't simple pleasures wonderful?!

I'm feeling most contented in my cosy lounge with the world shut away behind the blinds. I also highly recommend having a snuggle blanket now the nights have drawn in too!

Mmmmmm. Hope everyone has a very pleasant evening!
FORGIVE ME but your spoilt, you got a good one there.:T

Just wasn't in the mood, sorry.

I kinda know what you mean. Real life took over this week but all this talk of DTD has me dreaming back to the good old days.

I only found DTD 6 days before it was scrapped. Thanks to Maggies, L'Oreal eye cream, Olay and Finish, my cupboards have never looked so good. I have actually resorted to using the spare room as a utility room come larder albeit the food is in sealed boxes because the flaming mouse is back again somewhere.

And thanks to the current DTD, I'm ready for my new life.

And thanks to MOCs and JTD, I have a fresh stockpile of goodies.

And thanks to this board (and that includes all its foibles) I have the strength to carry on and plan for the future.

And thanks to M&S for supplying the rather yummy Cosmo Fizz *hic*

What does the turkey joint look like, is it frozen or fresh? I checked both but couldn't find any.

Just catching up I'm sure someones reposted the pic by now if not its fresh in a foil tray with cardboard sleeve quite heavy I found mine hidden amongst random chickens.

Big thanks to OP's this week I got Andrex with puppies ;) & two turkey. Very pleased. Would have liked to have found the binoculars but I can't complain.

And the camera case, I have a small thin newish camera the case struggled to close & won't stay closed but as its leather I'm sure it will soften up
  • Sat down now with a drink, but shattered as still seem to have this weird cold/sore throat thing. Two weeks now :(

Anyway I needed to get out the house so popped out to Tesco to check for reductions. Was a little late as went to an express first but alas the bud glitch wasn't working. That put me a little behind schedule so few reductions in my local by the time I got there but did get 3 of the finest deli beef burgers for 45p and a pair of mahoosive rump steaks reduced from £9.50 to £1.90 so they have just been eaten along with home made chips, some deep friend mushrooms and a small side salad! Deeeelicious! :)

Popped to another store and same story, most stuff had gone but did get some mushrooms and a few salad items for 10p each. Oh and I rescued a couple of boxes of wine gums and a handful of dairy milk bars. Am I the only one who is currently sick of the sight of chocolate?

Third store all the reductions had been sold and remnants binned as it was so late, but did manage a couple of sallys!

Found the Turkey joints in all 3 stores but they scanned at £7.50 in every store. Seems I was late on this one.
