Haha!! Beki that made me laugh. Last week it was nearly midnight and I saw a possible glitch on here (£1 DVD player) so ran into the hubby said "back soon" and shot out the door. When I got back he'd posted on facebook "guess the wife's found another bargain....God knows when she'll be home". I think he's getting used to it and he certainly doesn't complain at all the pennies I'm saving!! All thanks to you fab people
I shot out saying £1 dvd that was it :rotfl:
Does that mean you missed the original DTD days too
I still miss those days, bet there are a few of us with a misty eyed look and some heavy sighs at the memories
Everything will be ok in the end, and if it isn't ok then it isn't the end0 -
I would have loved to have discovered that thread back then, OH thinks I am crazy now when I dash out all he hears are the words, "T's & back soon" and the door slam. I admire you all as I know it can be hard work hunting down those bargains! Bet you had some right adrenalin buzzes going through check outs
Beki, I think everyone of our OH's has heard the words "T's glitch, won't be long" And you are so right, the adrenalin buzz is probably half the fun.
It was good fun with the old DTD when everyone used to be waiting for the vouchers to come in, see what had been compared then dash out the door desperate for a rack of lamb or some Betty Crocker, that really was a true buzz. My OH joined in with that, and my brother, mum and a few friends and we had many a toast to Mr T in those few months. Those really were the adrenalin days;)But sure something else will turn up soon to replace that;)Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -
Forgot to tell you all. I had a little bonus today. Posted a recipe on apetina (feta cheese) page on facebook and they've said they like it and want to send me some free cheese vouchers:)
. Not much but as they say....every little helps! lol

Didnt see your post, was just reminiscing as you wrote that. It was a brilliant time, the laughs we had and the drunken turners road nights and running round T's while trying to discreetly look at the bit of paper in your grubby mitt that was the spreadsheet!!:rotfl::rotfl:Beware!!!! Miss the DTD days terribly, dont think I will ever shop the same ever again and will remember them few months forever. Opened a bottle of Fairy Non Bio Gel today that brought back memories of the last day of DTD. From what I can remember the day before I got one for £8 that worked out free (£4 in Asda) and went back the next day and got another only for it all to come to an end and I never got chance to put my receipt in . At least I did get JTD on it though :rotfl:

Found the Christmas savings leaflets in store today - there is one for £1 off a £5 spend on household products - do you think it will work with comfort? Buy 5 bottles at a £1.00 each use 5 x baby mocs and £1 tesco leaflet moc leaving 25p to pay. Also similar applies to the freezer coupon if you combine it with the aunt bessies and stock up on the veggies or yorkshires.Member of the HCSC0
