My wife and I were sitting at a table at her high school
reunion, and she kept staring at a drunken man swigging his
drink as he sat alone at a nearby table.
I asked her, "Do you know him?"
"Yes", she sighed,
"He's my old boyfriend. I understand he took to drinking
right after we split up those many years ago, and I hear he
hasn't been sober since."
"My God!" I said, "Who would think a person could go on
celebrating that long?"
And then the fight started...
I assume you are referring to BettyBB et al. There's clearly some confusion about what is or isn't allowed re booze to serving soldiers. I think bettybb with the most recent relevant info seems to be simply stating that. Everything else is a moral judgement so can't really be called and argument, bun fight, bickering etc.
It blows things out of proportion and no doubt we'll have people posting that they've skimmed 20 pages because they can't be bothered to read all the bickering. What bickering? It's called discussion at the intelligent end of the playground;)Awaiting a new sig0 -
To be fair, it was hardly bickering/arguing or whatever else it wants to be described as, because the person who I was in the "discussion"with was replying in an educated manner. None of this, you said that, I done this rubbish. It was two peoples opinions on one subject. Simple as that really. If it ain't reduced, i don't buy it! :j0

Again I think if some off us aren't interested in other peoples posts maybe we should skim over them!
I know nothing about the army so just bypassed those posts ! ( no offense guys )
I like a happy thread !0 -

On about the army, I used to have a squaddie adoptee, they had a list of what you could and couldnt send http://www.adoptasquaddie.co.uk/#/downloads/4555347498
Its the last download, it may give those who needed help some ideas
Everything will be ok in the end, and if it isn't ok then it isn't the end0 -
Not on your bloody nelly!!!!! :rotfl:0 -

I never like selection boxes as they are sometimes a bit off a rip off but as there was no CDM in my store the selection boxes were the best to be had especially when I knew that the secretary of the local kids football club were going to buy that sort of thing anyway. Notice that in my local the deal was no longer available and were individually priced at £3 each i'e similar to the current ASDA price. No doubt it will change again as christmas approachesAwaiting a new sig0 -
