This is much the same as I saw elsewhere. So who was it on here that took the proverbial?

    Wasn't me unfortunately! ;)

Lookingforabargain, It was me :o:o, well not me but my pal who bought 2 bedguards. Struggling to find any bargains in Elg1n now so was chuffed to bits to find stuff that had been on my lists for weeks. There were no selection boxes when I was there either and definately no Plenty.

Were you by any chance there with a wee one in your trolley? Someone gave me a knowing look at the scanner by the baby clothes :p

Sorry I don't have the link. In fact I can't remember where I saw it? Press? Watchdog? MSE main site?. Do recall the statement from a Tesco Representative on the fact that a cottage industry had grown up exploiting the DTD on price check which is why they were ending it. I never was involved but it was seeing this in the press I think that brought me back to these threads

it was on their tesco price check site before you input you receipt details after they changed it " due to a cottage industry....." asking to accept their change in t&c's

just seen karlie's post ...thats the one

I seem to remember they made some statement about lucrative cottage industry on their own page where you went to get double the difference, I think they made the statement before you entered your receipt details. It may still be there, I have not used dtd for months, had forgotten about it until recently and the biscuits. HTH

  • Phew, just caught up...kinda.
Mandz27, went to StR on Friday and not one aquadraw left, shelf was filled up with soft toys :(. I saw your post about someone emptying shelves and have had experience of this myself. A week or so ago I got 5 packs of the Andrex, there was loads left on the shelf. Went down the aisle 10mins later, thinking to get another one and all gone!!

They had some of the shoes that people got in the £1 sale... priced at £9! Also all AW10/SS11 jeans I scanned came up full price or just under. I did find a Chuggington at last though, yay! There were 4 left on Friday, no SEL. Also 3 Cheeky Monkey on Board signs at 1p - took these through SS and had message 'there is a problem with this item', but I lifted and replaced it in the bagging area and it went through fine. Not sure if the SA had pressed a button or not.
