Hi We have a hotpoint Aqualtis washing machine with a faulty PCB I have obtained a replacement but they come without the programme.
does anyone know how to program the EEprom on the PCB of a hotpoint washing machine?
The EEprom is a 24C64 serial type and is soldered on the board,
Officialy to program it you need a hotpoint plug in programer (£100) and smart card (£15) OUCH!

I have all the stuff - interface and ponyprog and bin file to program the chip and can no problem while its off the board but cannot seem to download the bin file with the chip on the board.
This is probably due to the write protect pin of the eeprom being held high (+5v) by the board.
I am hoping someone will be able to tell me how to put the board in to "programe" mode.
Also the "pin outs" for the 5 terminal connector, I have worked out +,-,clock, and data but there is one other connection I dont know what its for.
I can "suck" the programe off of the chip as a bin file no problem, just cannot put it back!
Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks.
