Because I cant :(

It says you can check out how much a specific adword will cost you.

So I put in 'plasterer' but nothing (pricewise) shows up. I must be missing something but I dont know what ?

can anyone help please.

I think you have to register before it shows the costs.

Otherwise people would find out what competitors are paying without joining first and google is Money orientated.

EDIT: I tried it in my adwords account and it lets you see there :-

    Keywords plasterer
    Estimated Avg. CPC £0.53 - £0.79
    Estimated Ad Positions 1 - 3
    Estimated Clicks/Day 10 - 16
    Estimated Cost/Day £6 - £20

    hth.

I use adwords and really it isn't worth is for local trades, the costs are just too much.

It's more situated to nationwide coverage or businesses that aren't locality dependant.

To get any decent traffic from there I spend between £1000 and £1200 a month on there and I cap it at that, it would comfortably treble that amount if I left it to it's own devices.

Yeah, it is more of a national/ worldwide form of advertising, but I think it is the best method to advertise a website.

Which other method do you get a customer activley searching for your business and then you being able to put up a little ad saying "come here, we have what you want".

For websites it is good, but for retailers or offline stores, I don't see it working.
