Telemarketer Current Tactics!

Just thought I'd put a note to say a very dirty trick currently in use by organisations such as 'Mobiles4U' that call your mobile (however many times you demand to be taken off the list) offering a new contract.
Several times now, I've been told my contract is 'apparantly ending this month' as it's a 12month jobby. Seeing as I have an 18month contract with 8 months left to hang, I'm not falling for it. They didn't even get it right if it was 12months!!
When I say I am on 18months and not interested, they 'correct the system'. I promptly tell them to screw the system and hit the delete record key, but alas they continue..
I now have fun with them when they ring
Best one was when I professed I had infact deceased and they were through to Beds Police CID.
Just a warning!

One thing is that they always say they are from "your mobile phone company" - never state the company. I just ask "Oh, your from vodaphone?" When they agree, I just tell them its a pity that I am not a vodaphone customer. That usually gets rid of them.Don't bother trying to sue me - I've got no money!0

Such mis-leading/incorrect statements from telemarketers that lead, or could lead to a loss/gain for someone are now criminal offences under the Fraud Act 2006. Some of these telemarketers could be having their collars felt by the Boys in Blue - hopefully!"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0 -
I just swear at the people and it usually works.0
