So your saying mix hot water and vinegar onto a cloth wipe the screen and rub dry with newspaper?
Will the vinegar not leave a lingering smell inside my car?0 -
A wee bowl of water with a liberal (but not too much) sprinkling of vinegar. Then dip a cloth in. Your hands will smell of vinegar but you won't smell it in the car. Trust me...the vinegar cuts through the grease and the paper dries and shines.
I do the same for my house windows inside and out.....just like Granny used to do!0 -
What car you got?0

A Mercedes E220 CDi and Toyota Rav4. What does that matter for though? A window is a window....0

Yeah true bud, gonna gee it a try an will let ya know how it goes....0

Try it on a window in the house or a mirror first if you're not convinced...0

vinegar and newspaper is very old skool, its worked perfectly well for donkeys years. I don't use that method personally as its too much effort, I use IPA and kitchen paper leaves the glass streak free. I don't expect everyone else is like me though and has several bottles hanging around at anyone time so the MSE way would be water, vinegar and newspaper.Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0

I dont have vinegar at home so a squirt of inhouse window / mirror cleaner on a paper towel and good wipe does the trick for me.0
