Question about VHS to PC transfer?

I was thinking about transferring all my old VHS tapes to DVD via my PC, I was wondering if this http://www.misco.co.uk/applications/searchtools/item-Details.asp?EdpNo=241937&sourceid=2004
would do the trick, but at the same time what leads from my VHS recorder would I need, it has a SCART output and a left and right (red and yellow) output. Am I right in thinking that a SCART to 3 phono lead converter would work between the above device and my video recorder?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The only thing you need on top of this is a Scart lead with an In-out switch. This is the one I got from Maplin.

I'm not sure why it needs an in/out switch but it won't work with a normal scart lead.0 -
