Hi...trying to update avg on a friends pc but keep getting a message saying update server connection failed..can anyone help please

Just updated mine with no problems. Have you checked firewall settings just incase it's being blocked?

Another quick thought, does your friend have the latest version of AVG 7.5? As i understand it AVG are discontinuing support for the previous version so this may be causing the problem.
