I think my printer has died? Need advice

Hi,

My trusty Epson Sytlus CX3200 seems to have broken.

The paper feed roller moves but doesn't acutally pull any paper through! Is this an easy fix? Or would it be cheaper to by a replacement?

If the latter whats the best MSE multi printer about? I love my scan, print and copy facility plus I like the borderless printing too!

Any advice would be super!!

  • Does it take it through if your forcing it while its rolling? Can you even hear it trying to take paper in?

Is it still under warranty? etc...

Nope it's not under warranty.. I had one before and that broken (can't remember what now!!) so I brought this replacement off ebay 2nd hand.

Yes the rollers are spinning but even if I push the paper down abit it doesn't take it. There's a flap I'm not sure if that's stuck the wrong way? I've not paid any attention previously!!! but I tried pushing the flap down and it made not difference.

Oh the error message is that there is a paper jam, the bit of paper it took was wonky but it still printed on it so I cancelled the print and pulled it out. it didn't rip so there shouldn't be any paper left in the printer.

Don't know this printer, but it sounds like a jammed switch.

If you take a look where the paper is pulled in there's pproably a little plastic leaver that is attached to a microswitch and is pushed up by the paper (it doesn't take much).
