City link Rant

Just wondered if anyone else had has a issue with city link i have waited in all morning for a package to arrive and it never turned up and i look on there website to see they have attempted a delivery but no one was home. which is a load of rubbish as i was home all morning and even got a package from another courier 5 mins before the make beleive city link appearance.
i called city link up and all they say is what you want me to do about it, not my problem you was not in. even though i was,
Im really peed off now as these were for my little girls birthday tomoz.
just wondered if anyone else has had problems with city link

Unusual for CityLink, but a common courier lie (if not trying to deliver to the wrong address).

Thanks to Google Street View it is usually accompanied with 'The driver said you had a white front door.'

The stock customer response is - "I don't have a white front door. I used to have when Google Street View went past here" and "What time was this, I'll just check our CCTV"

No matter if it's a lie or not..... after all, they've lied to you!

I know why the driver has done it but it would never be admitted they finish at 12 on a saturday the driver is running behind so they make out they tried to deliver. but no carrd was left or anything.
i also asked if the driver was the same driver driving the route on thursday and they said yes and that driver came here on thurday so he knew where the house was.

The drivers wont finish at midday on a Saturday. I've done those routes and whatever drops they give you should have been attempted.

Just FYI if a driver said "I'm knocking off at midday" they would only do that once.

I've just had the usual non-delivery attempt from City Link. Spent all day not more than 30' from the doorbell and yet they say they tried to deliver but got no answer. They do say they have a picture of my front door but of course I have no way of proving it. They don't even card these days as it's a shared entrance so without the website I'd still not know if they'd been - and of course the website doesn't get updated for an hour so you can't even nab them when the status changes

So, as usual, they'll try again tomorrow. I did consider collecting it myself but it's a 40 mile round trip during rush hour and there's no guarantee that it'll even be there when I reach there.

Why are delivery services so poor? The only one I rate is Royal Mail but that's because the local sorting office is across the road.
