Would someone mind telling me I've done the right thing please?

Hi all, just looking for a bit of reassurance I've done the right thing....
Have 2 credit cards, ca 7000 on one with 7.9% interest and ca 3000 on one with ca 16% interest
this morning transferred the high interest balance to the low one, I know it makes sense but the thought of having 10,000 on a cc makes me sick.
I know I had 10,000 anyway, just the weird way my mind works.
PLEASE tell me I've done the sensible thing....thanks

Yes, you absolutely have done the right thing

(My mind works in weird ways too so I know exactly what you're saying :rotfl:)0 -
Yes, you've done exactly the right thing.
Just make sure you close that card down now, don't keep it 'just in case.' I kept mine and somehow it started getting spent on again.

Hi
Go and play with the snowball on www.whatsthecost.com and you will find out how much you have saved yourself.
Well done. Now ring up and close the other card. You may just get very luck y and be offered an even cheaper credit transfer, although with the loaded card now at 7.9% that may not be possible. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Yes you have done the right thing.
Actually, scrap that - you have done HALF of the right thing...
The second half of your task is to shred the old card as posted above. In fact shred both cards if you can.
Well done :-)0 -

If you can stop yourself spending on it then keep it but freeze it in a block of ice or something... in a few months time call them up to cancel and if they don't offer you a good rate.... close that sucker down!
