Shame that Hamish seems to get it right when you and Brit seem to constantly get it wrong.

50% down by Christmas 2009 has to be one of the all time classic fails.

As for taking BTL seriously, that's something I've been doing for the past few years. Healthy price rises coupled by rental yield of 7%.

    You should try it...

    No comment it seems. :)

Was Hamish a FTBer in 2007? I always get the impression that he's older than that?

He had a granny flat or somesuch that he didn't sell when he moved out. Granny Hamish lives there rent free as far as I recall.
I'm sure Hamish will correct me if I misremember.

He bought a big ol' house weeks before the crash hit.

I know, it appears that my finger aligning itself just half an inch to the right of where it was supposed to be also got you extremely excited.

Excited enough for you to copy it, remove the rest of the text, go to your user control panel and update your signature.

I'm all for chairty, and more than happy to help.

    Yoirs, Graham.

So he actually has a fair whack of housing equity then?

IHS Global Insight - the same people who predicted a 10% drop last year and a 15% drop in 2009.

Howard Archer, an economist at IHS Global Insight, said "I've been spectacularly wrong for a very long time now, but what the heck, at least I'm getting my name in the paper. Hi Mum!!!"

It wasn't so long ago that you were quoting moneyweek ;)

No mention of you saying last year that "the UK economy was accelerating". Now that is an epic FAIL

If i had posted something as daft as that i'd have never logged into this forum ever again

Sadly failed to cash in on the biggest bubble ever.

The bulls get to constantly reset their predict-o-meters it seems.
Whilst all bears are judged against what one guy might have seaid in 2004.
