Cannyscot, you're obviously a veteran of house exchanges!

We've just done our second one to a village near Granada and it was, shall we say 'different', but it suited us as we had an appointment twenty miles away on the Saturday and an early appointment in Granada on the Monday.It saved us having the expense of a couple of nights hotel in Granada.

Having said that, we met the people first, they were delightful and didn't want to leave our house!

You do have to be 'relaxed' to do house exchanges, it is no good if you are the sort of person who is going to be bothered if something gets spilt on your carpet for example.

The last lot of people smoked in our house although in the advert it said not to, but we just opened the windows for a while and it was gone. I think next time we'll have to make a point of mentioning it as well as putting it in the advert.

We've still got several to take up. Wonder where the next one will be.......
